A given of working for an airline is that we operate every day, all year – including holidays. With that in mind, here’s this airline pilot’s take on a list of things to be thankful for on Thanksgiving this year:

1. A quiet hotel room with a cold air conditioner and a hot shower

2. An airplane that’s ready to go on time

3. Full fuel tanks

4. A clean maintenance book

5. An airplane full of (cooperative) passengers

6. A great flight crew

7. A great cup of hot coffee

8. Headwinds on the runway and tailwinds en route

9. No turbulence

10. A happy and peaceful home to return to when the work is done
